Belfast Softball Club win IOST

Belfast Softball Club became the first Ulster club to ever win the Irish Open Softball Tournament, finishing first out of 11 teams at the 2023 edition of the tournament in Cork.

BSC entered two teams in the tournament. The BSC entry that won, the Jazzercisers, finished 9-1 in the round-robin portion of the tournament before winning their two games in the playoff for the tournament trophy.

Carrie Trundle Cup to be played on 3 June

The 2023 edition of the Carrie Trundle Cup will be played on Saturday, 3 June at Hydebank Playing Fields. The tournament has a full field of 12 teams ready to compete from 9 a.m. Saturday morning, including some traveling up from Dublin to take part.

Afterwards, SU will host a social event at Fountain Lane in Belfast City Centre, beginning at 8 p.m.

The Carrie Trundle Cup is named for Belfast Softball Club and Softball Ulster founder Carrie (Trundle) Blanken.
