The Carrie Trundle Cup
The Cubs Softball Team formed in 2013 and after years of success formed the Wolfhounds in 2022. The Belfast Cubs Softball Club formed in 2022. Both teams train at Strandtown Primary School on Sundays & Wednesdays, where they also play their home league games.
North Down Softball Club, founded in 2022, is a co-ed softball club comprising of 3 teams – The Buccaneers, The Barracudas, & The Sluggers.
The Softball Ulster CT Cup took place on the 22nd of June 2024 at Queen Elizabeth 2 Playing Fields in Lisburn. Eight softball teams from the league were represented:
We also saw some Hippities joining from Dublin who bolstered the numbers playing with the BSC teams, and Belfast Angels sent along some players of their own to help out NDSC. The weather was excellent with the sun creeping through the cloud cover to ensure it didn’t get too chilly. After a lively group stage saw BSC3 and the Sliders go undefeated with BSC1 and the Cubs rounding out the final four for the playoffs. After some solid batting from the Cubs and BSC1, they progressed to the final leaving BSC3 and the Sliders to fight for 3rd place.
