The key responsibilities of the Softball Ulster Secretary include:
- Work directly with the Chairperson and SU Council to develop the sport of softball in Ulster.
- Take the minutes at each SU Council meeting.
- Circulate the minutes and actions from all meetings within three days.
- Maintain an up to date register of all SU members.
- Manage all correspondence between the SU Council and the membership.
- Manage all correspondence between the SU Council and SI.
- Circulate motions and nominations to the membership in advance of the Annual General Meeting (AGM).
- Review the SU constitution on an annual basis and discuss with the SU Council.
- Liaise with the Treasurer for all accounts, invoicing and membership fee deadlines.
- Liaise with the Chief Umpire to review the bylaws in the pre-season and incorporate rule changes implemented by WBSC/ESF.
- Assist the Vice Chair and Competitions Officer at SU tournaments.
