Andrew Craven

The key responsibilities of the Softball Ulster Chairperson include:

  • Provide vision and leadership to the SU Council.
  • Work with the SU Council and the membership to develop the sport of softball in Ulster.
  • Set the date, time and location of SU Council meetings.
  • Develop a timeline and strategic plan for the upcoming season.
  • Chair SU Council meetings.
  • Work with the SU Council to develop amendments to the constitution, bylaws and disciplinary procedures.
  • Ensure there is an adequate communication structure in place between the SU Council and SU teams.
  • Appoint any SU Council members as necessary to maintain and develop the sport of softball in Ulster.
  • Assist individual clubs in promoting and advertising their events.
  • Request and receive updates on action points from any SU meetings.
  • Maintain a working relationship with the President of SI and communicate directly with the SI Board.

Belfast Aviators

Belfast Aviators Softball Club was formed in July 2008. Training takes place on Sundays 2pm – 4pm and Wednesdays (April to August) 7pm – 9pm. The Aviators mission is to offer softball to the local community for all men and women aged 18 and over. Belfast Aviators Softball Club promotes slow pitch softball in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The teams are comprised of players living in and around Belfast that hail from Northern Ireland and all over the world!

Belfast Angels

The Belfast Angels are the most recent addition to the Softball Ulster line-up, with their first season taking place in 2015.

Belfast Cubs

The Belfast Cubs were established in 2013, finishing 3rd in our inaugural season. Since then we have regularly finished at the top end of the Softball Ulster league.  We train and host home games at Strandtown Primary School on Sundays 2-4pm and Spafield (Holywood) on Wednesdays 7pm to 9pm throughout the season.
