The Softball Ulster council, which administrates the league, will have four vacancies at the Annual General Meeting on 10 November. Therefore, we are requesting nominations from the membership from people who are interested in filling the vacant roles.
The roles for which nominations are requested are
Each position is filled for a two-year term, beginning from the date of their election (presuming there is a quorum, this would be from the date of the AGM). Members interested in filling one of the positions should read the role descriptions (linked above) and email their nomination, seconded by another SU member, to the SU secretary by 5 p.m. on Sunday, 23 October.
If more than one person is nominated for a position on the council, then the members attending the AGM will vote to determine which person is chosen to fill the role.
In addition to the vacant council roles, SU will also choose members to fill additional non-council roles. They are:
- Auditors for the 2023 accounts
- Representative to the Softball Ireland board
- Representatives for the Softball Ireland AGM
Members interested in filling any of these roles should email their nomination, seconded by another SU member, to the SU secretary by 5 p.m. on Sunday, 23 October.
