Annual General Meeting 2021

Dear Registered Member of Softball Ulster,

Notice is hereby given that the Softball Ulster Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Sunday 24th October 2021 at 2pm.  It is hoped that the meeting will be face-to-face, with a venue to be confirmed shortly.  Please note that should further COVID-19 restrictions be implemented the AGM will continue to take place on this date virtually.  We would request that as many Softball Ulster members attend the AGM as possible, to help us plan for the season(s) ahead.

Softball Ulster are also seeking nominations to the following positions on the Softball Ulster Council in 2021:

  1. Vice Chair – View Role Description
  2. Secretary – View Role Description
  3. Treasurer – View Role Description
  4. Media Officer – View Role Description

Softball Ulster would also like to seek the ratification of Sean Gottschalk as Chief Umpire.

If you would like to be considered for a position on the Softball Ulster Council, please forward your nomination (and have it seconded by another Softball Ulster member) to secretary@softballulster.com before 6pm on Friday 22nd October 2021.  Please note that if more than one person is nominated to a council position, a vote of the membership in attendance will be required.  All terms are for two years.  Further information regarding the responsibilities of each council position is attached to this email.  The 2021 Softball Ulster Council would encourage all teams to put forward representatives to the 2022 Softball Ulster Council to ensure they all have a voice on policy and administration of the league in 2022 and beyond.  Should you wish further information about the roles and responsibilities please contact secretary@softballulster.com or chair@softballulster.com

Softball Ulster will also be seeking nominations to the additional roles of:

  1. Auditors for the 2022 accounts.
  2. Representative to the Softball Ireland Board.
  3. Representatives for the Softball Ireland AGM.

Once again, if you would like to be considered for any of these roles please forward your nomination (and have it seconded by another Softball Ulster member) to secretary@softballulster.com before 6pm on Friday 22nd October.  All terms are for one year.

The 2021 Accounts will be emailed and posted on the SU website in advance of the AGM, following the close of the financial year on 30th September 2021.

Please note that no paper copies of the accounts, agenda, bylaws, or constitution will be distributed.  To save on cost and resources these will be emailed out in advance of the meeting so you can view them on your own electronic devices or print out copies for your own records.  Please note that the most up to date bylaws and constitution are currently available in PDF format on the Softball Ulster website at www.softballulster.com.
