Sunday 26th September was the second week of the Softball Ulster Autumn League, an indoor-style tournament at Colin Glen Leisure Park. This week the teams that participated includes: Belfast Softball Club 1 and 2, Belfast Cubs, Bangor Bucs, Lisburn Hawks and the Belfast Sliders (playing with other teams).
After the round-robin stage was complete, the semi-finals saw BSC 2 face off against the Hawks and the Cubs face off against BSC 1. This led to a gold/silver final between BSC2 and the Cubs, with BSC2 coming out of the battle as champions.
Well done to everyone who participated over the two weeks, and for all the volunteers who umpires and scored. Hopefully this will be the first of many indoor-style tournaments run by Softball Ulster over the coming years.
The final standings of the Autumn Series are:
1st: Belfast Softball Club 2
2nd: Belfast Cubs
3rd: Belfast Softball Club 1
4th: Lisburn Hawks
5th=: Belfast Angels / Belfast Sliders / Bangor Bucs (but all winners really for showing up for one week each).
