Softball Ulster hereby gives notice of the Softball Ulster Annual General Meeting (AGM) that will take place on Saturday 6thOctober at 6pm in the Private Function Room at the Parador Inn, Ormeau Road, Belfast. The Softball Ulster Awards Night will then immediately follow the AGM, with the presentation of league medals, the league trophy, the MVP awards and the Umpire of the Year award. We would request that as many Softball Ulster members attend both events as possible.
Softball Ulster are also seeking nominations to the following positions on the Softball Ulster Council in 2018:
- Vice Chair
- Secretary
- Competitions Officer
- Media Officer
- Chief Umpire
If you would like to be considered for a position on the Softball Ulster Council, please forward your nomination (and have it seconded by another Softball Ulster member) to secretary@softballulster.com before Saturday 6thOctober. Please note that if more than one person is nominated to a council position, a vote of the membership in attendance will be required. All terms are for two years. Further information regarding the responsibilities of each council position is attached to this email. The 2018 Softball Ulster Council would encourage all teams to put forward representatives to the 2019 Softball Ulster Council to ensure they all have a voice on policy and administration of the league in 2019. Softball Ulster will also be seeking nominations to the additional roles of:
- Auditors for the 2019 accounts
- Representative to the Softball Ireland Board
- Representatives for the Softball Ireland AGM

It is the Softball Ulster Council’s hope that the majority of the membership will attend these important events on Saturday 6thOctober, not only to ensure proper oversight of the Softball Ulster League, but also to celebrate the achievements of our teams, members and umpires in this highly successful season.
